As a young boy growing up I had the opportunity to fish the small rivers
for Steelhead ,as well as the saltwater along the West coast of Vancouver
Island, with my Dad out of a 15ft clinker built wood boat. My how times
have changed! I am now guiding out of a 22ft Hydra sport-- a far cry from
the old wooden boat of days gone by.
The water we guide on is some of the most productive salmon and
halibut water in the world.
From
the Queen Charlotte Islands to the Douglas Channel, we have a very large
play ground. Seeing Killer whales, humpback whales & porpoises are
the norm, while having a bald eagle soar over head eyeing up the huge
salmon or giant halibut you are reeling in. There are also Dungeness
crab, prawns and many other bottom fish such as red snapper, lingcod,
rock bass and some that look a little like they came right out of a
science fiction movie. All this can be offered in a days outing while
still returning to our main lodge nestled in the coastal mountains, close
to the amenities of our town Terrace BC.

You may want to bring a good camera along just to
